To make a scary setting in a story, I would make the room small and dark, filled with little stuffed animals staring at you intently. I would also make the door and floor creak. I would make the wind outside blow softly. I would make the room seem dusty and leaves hustling on the inside. Outside the room, the weather would be gloomy.

David Goldlen walked inside of the room. Clearly, the room hadn’t been used for a long time. It was dusty and the lights didn’t work properly. As he slowly stepped across the room, the old wooden boards began to creak because the mice had eaten away parts of the boards. Suddenly, the wind outside began to slowly howl and the leaves began to hustle. The skies began to turn gray and dark , threatening to destroy David. The lights inside began to flicker as a door from a closet swung open and fell. The stuffed animals on the shelves seemed to stare at David.
