Blog Post #1
Over many years, many scary movies have been made. Dracula, SAW, Final Destination, all many popular movies. However, the scariest I have ever seen in my entire life was not The Blog or Resident Evil. Instead, it is a very simple children’s movie. Honestly, many people don’t think it scary but going into another world and seeing people with buttoned eyes and getting stuck there forever seems kinda scary. The story begins with a girl named Coraline Jones. She moves to a place called Pink Palace Apartments. Because her parents are busy making a catalog, she feels alone and abandoned. She meets Wyborn, the grandson of the landlady. He finds a doll that looks exactly like Coraline and gives it to her. When she goes home, she finds a small door. However, when opened, she only finds a brick wall. That night, when Coraline was awakened by mice that came through the door. However, this time, the door wasn’t covered by the brick wall, but a long corridor leading to the other side. There she meets the Other Father and Mother. However, the Other Mother and Father have buttons sewn on to them. The next morning, she finds herself in her bed. She meets her neighbors who warn her that she is in danger. It happens for a few nights until one night, the Other Mother doesn’t let Coraline “leave”. I won't spoil the ending for yours to watch, but gee, just writing this makes me remember how frightened I was.
